Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the therapeutic insertion of very fine, sterile, single-use filiform needles into the body at specific acupuncture points to treat various health conditions, including musculoskeletal pain, digestive disorders, stress management, and sleep dysregulation.

Dr. Elsabeth Petersen

Dr. Elsabeth Petersen, DACM, Dipl. OM, AEMP, LAc.

Elsabeth is a 2022 graduate of Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, OR, holding a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree and a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine degree. She is NCCAOM certified in good standing and holds a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine status. She is licensed in both Oregon and Washington.

In addition to the comprehensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture techniques, Elsabeth received while at OCOM, a highlight of her educational experience was an externship in an integrative care setting at Providence Portland Medical Center. There she worked closely with oncology patients and their families, as well as a team of gifted multi-disciplinary supervisors.

Elsabeth is excited to offer the healing benefits of TCM and Acupuncture to the Vancouver community with the establishment of Inner Spark Acupuncture and Holistic Medicine. She specializes in treating body pain, digestive disorders, anxiety, and stress management.
